Great Spaces

My name is Leslie Clagett, and it's my pleasure to contribute to this terrific blog while its author, Paul Anater, is taking a well-deserved break.

Being the middle of August, I have the impression that even those who are madly passionate about things kitchen and bath are taking it easy right about now. [Am I right, Paul?] So instead of a roundup of products or a trend forecast, I'll make this a pictorial post: Here's a portfolio of a few of my very favorite spaces, and the people behind them.

Period Pastiche

If you've liked what you've seen, please come visit my blog, KBCULTURE, for more. By the way, one of the above kitchens is mine—take a guess, then click to find out which one it is.

Have a lovely day, and thanks for reading.

P.S. I tweet, therefore I am.

  1. Leslie! Your kitchen is full of inspiring details (the wood pull handles, and the feet!) and awesome concepts (like the "utility fan" -- well that is what I call it anyway) Love your kitchen, as well as your blog :)

  2. Thank you, Adrienne.
The wood in the cabinet that houses the cooktop and oven was harvested from a home on the Jersey shore that was being demolished. There are a lot of stories in this kitchen, and I'm glad you like it.

  3. Leslie: Thanks for helping to pitch in, I appreciate having your point of view here. I have to say that the black tub room you showed is one of the most beautiful baths I've ever seen. Wow.

  4. Amazing what a coat of paint can do, isn't it? Of course, it's the designer's vision that's they key to it all.
