Happy Canada Day!

Happy Canada Day to all my pals above the 49th parallel (and those of you slumming it down here). Congratulations on 144 years of nationhood!

  2. I need more than 48 hours in Toronto next time! I love this symphonic version of your national anthem by the way. Yours is the most stirring anthem in the world and hearing it played by an orchestra just makes it better. But maybe that's just me.

  5. Thank you, Paul!

Listening to this beautiful version of our national anthem gave me goosebumps. Please come and visit Vancouver (all cleaned up after that nasty Stanley Cup riot) and my little town, Victoria.

    Happy 4th of July!

  6. You are most welcome. Your anthem always gives me goosebumps but this is the most stirring version of it I've ever come across.

  8. I do too. I have been combing through YouTube and trying to find a symphonic version of "Advance Australia Fair," but alas I keep striking out. I did however, find the Sydney Symphony Orchestra playing Smetana's Ma Vlast. Oh I love that piece of music.

  9. Apparently I was way too lazy over the long weekend to keep up with you blogging on my birthday! I have to agree with Denise, you do need to come out and visit the west coast here :)
