The Contractor cudn't believe how calm, cool and collective I was. Four small children and it was the Christmas Season when we had walls coming down around us.....yet Santa still came.

Now embarking to do a similar project(different home). This time around will admit, I'm concerned about my sanity. :) -Brenda-mrsbenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13490065292054880863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2143843667296816868.post-20754580102454036482009-09-15T16:48:12.938-04:002009-09-15T16:48:12.938-04:00Thanks for your comment, that does not sound like ...Thanks for your comment, that does not sound like a very fun way to embark on a project. One time we ended up renovating because a toilet decided to overflow randomly one night, spilling blackwater all over and we found out after 7 hours. Since it got down into some of our wood framing, we ended up tearing up about a 1/4 of our house. While looking at what it'd take to repair, we decided to renovate that bathroom, the kitchen underneath it, and the living room beside the kitchen as well.

I wish I had pics of everything still.

http://bathandkitchenfixturesblog.com/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2143843667296816868.post-48822151770041262932009-09-15T11:16:54.103-04:002009-09-15T11:16:54.103-04:00It is an emotional minefield and out of all the un...It is an emotional minefield and out of all the underestimating that goes on prior to a reno, I think underestimating the emotional toll is the most widespread. It's important to keep your eyes on the end product. But knowing that and living that are two different things entirely.Paul Anaterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05777487147630173644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2143843667296816868.post-53396969482389588882009-09-15T10:51:10.366-04:002009-09-15T10:51:10.366-04:00Hah! A piece of advice -- if the only shower in your house is in the bathroom being renovated, don't do the renovation in January. Unless you like going outside in the freezing cold with wet hair after your shower in the basement of your hubby's office building at midnight!! ;-)

I'm absolutely 100% confident my kitchen is going to come out great :-)

KellyDesignTieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02561438683476880640noreply@blogger.com
