My brothers and their families sill go up to the old homestead but I haven't been there in years. That&amp;#39;s totally how I feel when I&amp;#39;m near water -- I just want to jump right in!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I agree, your friend in the hammock is definitely a sign!! :-)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thanks for sharing your childhood summer memories on my summer dreamin&amp;#39; post :-) We have a family cottage on a small lake just across the border in Quebec. My parents &amp;amp; grandparents bought the lot in the &amp;#39;50s, cleared it, and then a little pre-fab house went up. When I came along, my dad &amp;amp; grandpa put on an addition with a living room and bedroom.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It&amp;#39;s small and not fancy and I sleep on a futon in the living room, but I love it there :-) I go to the cottage every weekend from June to September.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We have a plan in the works to tear down the cottage and build a new one. There&amp;#39;s just so much work that needs to be done to it that in the long run, it&amp;#39;ll probably be cheaper and easier to start fresh.
